February Happenings!

Our discussion of our Founding Fathers and important presidents ended with a "wind sock" project of important facts that decorate our room!  The children enjoyed all the books we read of contributing African Americans and our experiment with brown and white eggs helped us realize that like different colored shells, our insides are the same...important, purposeful, and useful in today's society!  We all matter!  :)

Vibration was a word we experimented with as we plucked our popsicle sticks and heard different sounds.   Wonderopolis contributed to our discussion as we learned that tiny air particles move that we cannot see and allow our ears to hear sound as vibrations are made!

In Math Centers, we combined our reading learning of "cause and effect" with Laura Numeroff books to our math learning of "if, then" and related facts!  If you know 3+5=8, then you know 8-5=3, or 5+3= 8.  We also made fact family houses that decorate the hallway.
We are busy bees as we head into March and Spring!
Thanks for all you do to help make our learning fun!  Cars next week!!!

This is a completed project for our Well Unit.  The students created some fantastic Weekly Readers about water.  They were able to present and share the information.  Great job!

This is Cade telling about our math project for the Well Project.  We counted out SO MANY dimes and dollars.  We raised over $200 to help toward building a well in Africa. Thank you for your participation!

Sending our love to Hannah who is battling cancer...What a great way to show our love during February!  Another great way was your love letters to your children!  They absolutely loved those!
