We have been so busy this week partner reading with 4th grade buddies, working in math stations, and reading with friends in our room!  We always use a check mark to check for understanding!
Thank you for the items in our "Wonderings Station".  We can't wait to get our hands on all of it!  :)

Today we made Friendship Salad!  We talked about how the pears...are like good workers, peaches...are like good listeners,  mixed fruit...is all of us with our gifts and abilities!   Everyone said "EWWW" before I added the bad banannas!  No one wants to be a bad bananna or have bad banannas in the class. 

First Day 2013!
We had a great first day.  The kids started in math centers where they socialized and played math games with friends. 


We then moved to creating rules for bathroom, classroom, and the hallway.

We then listened to the story....

 

The children went off...on a school walk and we visited Dr. Patterson, our Principal, Mrs. Skinner, our Vice Principal.  We met our new art teacher in the Art Room, Mrs McCraw, our Music Teacher, Ms. Nancy who takes our attendance each day and we practiced good lunch habits in the lunchroom!
